Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’ Dharmendra is no more. He passed away on 24th November 2025 at the age of 89. Following his demise, there were speculations in film circles about family tensions.

Reports suggested that Dharmendra’s second wife Hema Malini was not on good terms with his first wife Prakash Kaur and their children – Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. However, the ‘Dream Girl’ has now addressed these rumors.

Hema Malini Denies Any Family Conflict

Hema Malini clarified that there is no negativity between the two families. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she stated that all of Dharmendra’s children – whether from his first or second marriage – loved their father deeply and share good relations with each other.

Hema said,

He’s our father, and for him, we will all do anything, whether these children (Esha, Ahana) or those children (Sunny, Bobby). They all loved Dharmendra ji very much. There is no negativity between the families. Dharmendra ji was a source of love, strength, and values. We are all fine and will fill this emptiness together.

Dharmendra Honored at BAFTA

Recently, Dharmendra was honored at the 79th BAFTA 2026 in the ‘In Memoriam’ segment. Hema Malini expressed her happiness about this recognition, saying that he truly deserved it as both a legendary actor and a wonderful human being.

She added,

Dharmendra ji was not only an amazing actor but also a great human being. There’s no one like him.

Dharmendra was married twice. He tied the knot with Prakash Kaur at the age of 19, and they had four children – Sunny, Bobby, Ajita, and Vijeta.

After entering films, he fell in love with Hema Malini and married her in the 1980s. They had two daughters together – Esha and Ahana.
