He was born on October 19, 1956, in Sahnewal, Punjab, India. He is the son of legendary actor Dharmendra and the elder brother of actor Bobby Deol.
Sunny Deol started his acting career in 1983 with the film Betaab, which was a big success. During the 1990s, he became one of the most popular action heroes in Bollywood. He is especially known for his intense roles and patriotic films like Ghayal, Damini, and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. His performance in Ghayal won him a National Film Award.
Apart from films, Sunny Deol is also active in politics. He is a Member of Parliament and continues to serve the public while staying connected to the film industry.
